Anne-Sofie: In Summer, We Bring Our Paddleboards and Head Out on the Water

Sometimes North Zealand feels like being abroad – that’s how graphic designer Anne-Sofie Byrlov Møllebro experiences it. She deeply appreciates the tranquillity of North Zealand’s nature, and in summer she heads out on paddleboards with her family and walks to the beach.

1. Hyllingebjerg Beach, Liseleje

Walking down the stairs to the beach feels like arriving in another country. The wild nature and the sea views create a very special sense of calm.

2. Stængehus Beach

The walk through the forest and out to the beach is something truly special – and often you have the whole place to yourself. It feels like a hidden gem where you can really take a deep breath.

3. The Mountain Bike Trail at Nyvej

The forest near Nyvej has some really great mountain bike trails. It’s the perfect active break in nature and one of our favourite places when we want to get our pulse up.

4. A Trip to Lake Arresø Through the Forest

A beautiful walk through the forest that eventually leads onto a boardwalk stretching all the way out to the water. It’s a place where you truly feel the peace.

In winter, we hunt for amber, and in summer, we bring our paddleboards Anne-Sofie Byrlov Møllebro

5. Walk from Kvickly to Frederiksværk Harbour

You follow a long gravel road all the way down to the harbour. It’s a simple but truly lovely walk – perfect for a break from everyday life.

6. Ladegård Lake

When we fish here, we find peace. The scenery is beautiful, and it’s a place where you can completely unwind.

7. The Fjord at Lille Kregme

This is where we swim and fish. In summer, we bring our paddleboards and paddle out to the little house in the middle of the water – pure summer happiness.

8. Lynæs Beach

In winter, we go hunting for amber, and in summer, we bring our paddleboards out onto the shallow water. It’s a place we visit all year round.
