Jakob: You Can Buy Their Delicious Vegetables from the Self-Service Stall

Good, local produce is front and centre when Jakob Feilberg Olsen talks about his favourite places in North Zealand. In his daily work, he transforms raw ingredients at his farm dairy at Tothaven Visitor Farm, where you can also pet the adorable animals.

1. Torup Market

A super cosy, hyper-local food market that beautifully represents the taste of North Zealand.

2. Garbolund Vineyard

A beautiful organic vineyard in Annisse producing delicious, light natural wines – especially their orange wine, which is well worth taking the time to enjoy.

They also have a cosy wine bar that’s open on weekends throughout most of the summer.

3. Engmosegård Farm Shop

When Torup Market isn’t on, you can do almost all your shopping here – vegetables, eggs, and meat – all organic and lovingly grown.

If you bring your own bucket, you can even fill it with freshly milked milk, as long as you ask nicely.

Knud Rasmussen must also have appreciated the view, since he chose to build his beautiful house just below the lighthouse Jakob Feilberg Olsen

4. Sølager Vegetable Stall and a Walk Around the Grounds

Sølager is a local institution offering supported employment opportunities. Among other things, they run a farm with open-field vegetable growing and livestock.

You can buy their delicious vegetables from the self-service stall hidden deep within the grounds – just follow the signs. And while you’re there, take a walk around and say hello to the goats, cows and pigs.

5. Spodsbjerg Lighthouse

Possibly one of the most beautiful places I know on Zealand. The view across the Kattegat towards Hesselø and Sjællands Odde can, on a clear day, cure almost any kind of melancholy.

Knud Rasmussen must also have appreciated the view, since he chose to build his beautiful house just below the lighthouse.

6. Hyllingebjerg Beach

The view from the cliffs above the beach feels like stepping into an AI-generated travel magazine, and the beach itself is just remote enough that you don’t have to share it with too many others.
