Hegnet Half | The flattest and most beautiful running event in Denmark

Join in when Hegnet Half returns in 2026 with Denmark’s flattest – and perhaps most beautiful – half marathon: a nature-filled running experience through Tisvilde Hegn for both recreational runners and elite athletes.

Hegnet Half – Denmark’s flattest half marathon in the heart of Tisvilde Hegn

Welcome to Hegnet Half – a race where nature, community, and the joy of running come together in a unique experience by the sea and in the forest. The third edition of this popular run is about to begin, and it has already established itself as one of the most scenic and accessible half marathons in Denmark.

With only 13 metres of elevation throughout the entire course, Hegnet Half is known as Denmark’s flattest half marathon. It’s perfect whether you want to set a personal best – or simply enjoy a beautiful and comfortable run through one of the country’s most stunning natural areas. The route winds along the shoreline, through tall pine forests, and across open heathland, offering views of sky, sea, and horizon.

Hegnet Half is more than just a race.

It’s a day filled with energy, togetherness, and big smiles. Elite athletes, recreational runners, and families meet around a shared passion, and even the youngest participants can join the short children’s run. As you cross the finish line, you’ll be greeted with a medal, a goodie bag, treats from sponsors, and professional photos available for free download.

Whether you're chasing a fast time, seeking a new challenge, or looking for an extraordinary nature experience, Hegnet Half is the perfect way to kick off the running season.
