Experience a truly special evening when the Rudolph Tegner Museum is once again filled with music, magic, and hundreds of flickering candles. This time, four generations of the musical Koppel family are ready to enchant the audience with a program where tradition, intimacy, and musical excellence merge beautifully.

On stage, you will meet “the Koppels” – Lone, Thomas Peter, and Jonathan – three strong musical voices from the same family line, while the newest generation, represented by Herman D. Koppel, forms the core of the evening’s repertoire. They are joined by the renowned pianists Irene Hasager and Christina Bjørkøe, guitarist Allan Sjølin, and soprano Vibeke Kristensen, together lifting the concert into an unforgettable experience.

As always at the candlelight evenings, darkness slowly settles around the museum while the hall is gradually illuminated by live candlelight – an annual tradition that transforms the night into an intimate and sensory concert experience in the midst of the raw, dramatic landscape.

Practical information

• When: September 5th, 2025
• Time: Two sets of 50 minutes with a 20-minute intermission. Doors open after rehearsals (by 7 PM at the latest).
• Tickets: Unnumbered seats. Tickets are non-refundable. Purchase your ticket here.
• Companion seat: Purchase a regular ticket and write to gomard@rudolphtegner.dk to request a companion seat.
• Sound: A PA system is used. Please note that speech may be difficult to hear from the sides, but the music will carry clearly.
• Parking: Follow the parking directions. You may park by the church at the end of Museumsvej. Only one side of Museumsvej may be used for parking.
• Tip: Bring a flashlight for the walk in the dark.
