During the autumn holiday, Gjethuset in Frederiksværk fills the week with exciting experiences for both children and adults. From musicals and creative workshops to cozy moments in the café – and most events are free.
A Magical Start with Rasmus Klump
For the first time ever, you can experience Rasmus Klump at Gjethuset. Join a magical musical journey in Barnaby Bear and The Magic Mirror – an enchanting mini-musical for the whole family.
In autumn 2025, the beloved Rasmus Klump is brought to the stage in a brand-new production filled with music, imagination, and unforgettable moments. Experience the very first show ever about Rasmus Klump and his friends, featuring classic songs and new musical numbers for an atmospheric experience.
Look forward to colorful stage scenes, imaginative characters, and a story that awakens both old memories and creates new ones – perfect for both children and adults.
After the show, children can meet the characters at the Meet’n’Greet. The performance is at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.

Build & Cozy – Creative Workshop
On Tuesday and Wednesday, visual artists Camilla Grell and Jan Holmgaard invite you to a workshop where children build a large sculpture from cardboard, paint, and recycled materials. A fun and creative experience about dreams and community. The workshop is free but requires tickets for the children.
Cozy Open Café
Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM, the café is open with bead plates, drawing tables, board games, and children’s music. Families can relax and enjoy snacks and drinks. The activities in the café are free and require no registration.
