Become a treasure hunter during the autumn holiday at Elværket in Hillerød

Explore the past through play, fascinating discoveries, and fun activities in the new family-friendly exhibition Alletiders Nordsjællændere at Elværket in Hillerød.

All-Time North Zealanders – 100 Years of the Museum, 10,000 Years of Stories

Step into a world of ancient mysteries and modern tales when Museum Nordsjælland opens its doors to the anniversary exhibition All-Time North Zealanders at Elværket in Hillerød. The exhibition brings together some of the museum’s most fascinating objects – from prehistoric finds to contemporary cultural history – showing how people over 10,000 years have shaped life in North Zealand.

Here, you can discover everything from a four-legged gosling and a gold ring from Smørkilde Bakke to weapons from World War II. Well-known North Zealanders such as Lene Maria Christensen, Jussi Adler-Olsen, and Mathilde Falch have each chosen their favorite pieces. The exhibition features stories that fascinate, move, and inspire – told in a way that engages the whole family.

For the little ones

Children can enjoy a world of play and discovery: they can explore the great castle cave, dress up as heroes from the past, and dig into archaeology in the Children’s ArchaeoLab, where skeletons and secrets hide beneath the sand.

During the autumn holidays, the museum also offers creative workshops, storytelling in the castle cave, and the chance for children to present their own “treasure” at the museum.
