Lighthouse cake, history, and sea views
Guests can purchase sandwiches, ice cream, refreshments, and the famous lighthouse cake, which has become a popular tradition during International Lighthouse Day. Proceeds from sales support the Nakkehoved Lighthouse Guild and its work preserving the history of the lighthouses.
At the Lighthouse History Museum, visitors can learn about Nakkehoved’s lighthouses, which have guided sailors safely through the Øresund since 1772. The exhibitions also share stories of dramatic shipwrecks along the North Zealand coastline. You may also climb the 21-metre-high western lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views across the sea and coastal landscape.
