A group of ghostly creatures has left the cemeteries and forests of North Zealand and sneaked into Elværket. Now they are hiding among the museum’s exhibitions.

Children and adults can join forces on a family-friendly, slightly spooky ghost hunt. Along the way, the challenge is to find the creatures and answer their questions. Complete the hunt and a small, sweet and spooky prize awaits.

Investigate a mysterious blue box

Among the museum objects is a small blue box containing something rather strange – and a little unsettling. The box was discovered beneath the roof of a house in North Zealand.

Why was it placed there? Was it intended as protection, or is there another story behind it? Visitors can take a closer look at this mysterious find and consider for themselves what the box might reveal about the past.

Try your hand at archaeology

At Arkæoteket, children and adults can explore some of the methods used by archaeologists. They can excavate a skeleton and investigate the clues that may help reveal its story.

Dress up and step into history

The visit also offers the chance to travel back to the Middle Ages. Children and adults can dress up in medieval gowns, chainmail, hats and wigs and experience history in a different way.
