Gilleleje Open – Sea, Town & Communities

Look forward to a weekend full of life, experiences and community as Gilleleje Open invites children and adults to a festive celebration throughout the town on Saturday and Sunday, 9–10 May, 11:00–15:00.

Experiences by the sea and on the water

At the harbour, visitors can explore the maritime atmosphere up close. The Travalje Association offers trips on the water, while Gilleleje Sailing Club hosts a sailing regatta. Races can be followed from land or experienced from a boat.

By the beach, the lifeguard service and local winter bathing clubs create activities focused on community and wellbeing, including opportunities to relax in a sauna.

Activities at the town square

The town square becomes a hub for meeting local organisations. Visitors can:

• Learn to tie knots with the sailing club’s youth division
• Meet local associations and community groups
