Come and enjoy an interactive journey through Fredensborg, where you will encounter The Petrified People. Along the way, you will complete challenges, solve riddles, and most importantly, help Mille fight against the evil wizard throughout the adventure. The experience is designed for families with children who want to enjoy a magical and adventurous outing together.

A free experience for the whole family

The route starts at Fredensborg Library and ends in the Palace Gardens. Using the app, you will be guided to each of the six different stations. Along the way, you will experience many of Fredensborg’s attractions, discovering both the natural surroundings and parts of the town itself.

The tour is free through the app, which can be downloaded from the App Store, allowing you and your family to enjoy a truly adventurous experience together.

The app is simple and easy to use for all age groups, making it easy for adults to bring children along on the adventure. During the route, the app will also tell a story connected to each station, giving you a deeper sense of the experiences along the walking journey.

The walk is designed to last approximately 40 minutes, covering 1.10 km from station one to six.

The story behind Nordmandsdalen

In Nordmandsdalen in the Fredensborg Palace Gardens, visitors can experience both sculpture art and landscape gardening. The site itself is designed as an amphitheatre with three terraces. Across these terraces stand a total of 70 sculptures depicting 60 Norwegian and 10 Faroese fishermen, farmers, wives, and ordinary people as they appeared in the 18th century.

All 70 sandstone sculptures were carved between 1764 and 1784. In 1784, they could be experienced in the Fredensborg Palace Gardens for the very first time — the site we today know as Nordmandsdalen.
