Carve your own pumpkin lantern

At 12.00–15.00

Halloween begins with a creative outdoor pumpkin workshop. The museum’s resident artist will share techniques and inspiration as children and adults transform pumpkins into funny, imaginative and spooky lanterns.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own pumpkin. The workshop takes place outdoors, so warm clothing is recommended.

Night at the museum

At 17.30–19.30

As darkness falls, Nivaagaards Malerisamling is transformed into a haunted house. After the museum’s usual closing time, children and adults can embark on a treasure hunt among the artworks and continue their Halloween evening in the creative workshop.

Create a spooky castle

Let your imagination run wild and create mysterious castles crawling with spiders and other creatures. Perhaps a bat, a ghost or a hooting owl is hiding inside?

The evening concludes with the performance Lyt til tiden by Papirskoven.
