Rocket workshop for children - Build, decorate and launch your own rocket
Build your own rocket at KRUDT in Frederiksværk. Use your imagination to decorate it with colours, drawings and creative details before sending it on its first flight.
From building to launch
First, it is time to build the rocket and give it a unique look. Children can experiment with colours, drawings and different details to make each rocket their own.
Once the rocket is ready, it is time for the exciting part: the launch. How far will it fly? Perhaps it will soar more than 100 metres through the air.
Adjust the rocket and try again
If the rocket does not fly quite as expected, children can examine the design, make adjustments and try again. In this way, the workshop offers a playful introduction to how construction and design can affect a rocket’s flight.
Practical information
- The rocket workshop takes place at KRUDT, Krudtværksalleen 1 in Frederiksværk. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- The event may be cancelled in the event of bad weather.
