Seaweed from the waters around Halsnæs

At Blæret Tang, guests can discover an ingredient that grows just off the coast of North Zealand. The seaweed comes partly from the bycatch of local net fishermen and partly from Blæret Tang’s own harvest from the sea.

During the experience, four different varieties of seaweed and their individual qualities are introduced. All four servings are vegan and showcase different ways of using seaweed in the kitchen.

Four servings inspired by the sea

The seaweed menu is served in Chinese bowls, while chef Lele Wang and Louise introduce the different varieties of seaweed and explain how they can be used.

A selection of seaweed-inspired drinks is also available, including a specially produced seaweed cider from Polyvin, seaweed beer from Det Våde Får and kombucha brewed with sugar kelp.

Kap Halsnæs at Hundested Harbour

The experience takes place beneath Fyrbåken at Hundested Harbour, with the Kattegat providing a natural setting for the meal. As part of Kap Halsnæs, Blæret Tang offers an insight into how a local ingredient from the sea can become part of a culinary experience – from harvesting to the finished dish.
