Your tour begins at Ågabet Outdoor Center, where a guide will welcome you and the canoes will be ready to take you along the canal to Frederiksværk.

This picturesque route, established between 1717 and 1719, marks the beginning of Frederiksværk's history as an industrial city.

Upon arrival, the canoes are carried ashore, and the tour continues with a visit to the Gunpowder Works Museum. Here, you can see the old water-powered machines, learn about gunpowder production, and hear about the hazardous working conditions. There is also an opportunity to enjoy a packed lunch before returning to Ågabet Outdoor Center via the canal.

The ticket also includes access to the Arsenal, if you wish to explore Frederiksværk's industrial history further after the boat trip.
