Join a charming voyage aboard the veteran steamship S/S Bjørn as it sets sail from the harbour in Hundested.

• S/S Bjørn sails daily from 19–27 July 2025 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
• Buy tickets for the boat trip from Hundested
• S/S Bjørn docks at the outermost part of the Nordmolen at Hundested Harbour. Drive to Amtsvejen 1 and park in the large parking lot. Please note that parking fees must be paid at Hundested Harbour.

Volunteers maintain the veteran ship S/S Bjørn.

On board S/S Bjørn, you will meet passionate volunteers who helped restore the ship and now maintain it and take passengers out on trips.

Feel free to ask the volunteers about the ship. They share vivid stories about everything from the restoration to its past life as an icebreaker in the last century, and how its mechanics and systems work.

Don’t miss the chance to step into the engine room and see how a steam-powered vessel – and its crew – operates. It takes real strength to keep up the steam!

A sailing piece of Danish history

S/S Bjørn is more than just a ship – it's a floating cultural heritage icon. Built in 1909 and lovingly preserved, the steamship still sails the fjord and invites you to experience the rhythm of the steam engine and life on board as it was over a century ago.

Hundested Harbour provides a lively setting for the experience aboard S/S Bjørn. After your visit on board, continue your day with ice cream, crafts, and the vibrant harbour atmosphere right beside the ship.
